Table Rock Lake~
Table rock bass have been biting real great for us the past week. Much like most of the winter, but this past week was exceptional with the warmer air temperatures helping get the fish on the move up shallower wanting to feed. Suspending stickbaits have been working great on these active fish. 41/2'' Rogues, Strike King's Wild Shiner and Spro McStcicks all have been catching as long as they suspend or slowly sink. Most bites are coming from bluff end points and steeper banks, as long as they have timber around. The bite may be slower early on, but has been picking up later when the water heats up a bit. on the main lake, Dam to Kimberling City has been about the better part of the lake recently while some fish are being caught in the James and King's nearby where the lake was recently frozen.Pauses between twitches vary, but seem to work the best with a 10 second or longer pause. There's a good jig bite going on in the creek arms as well. Fish are coming out of 15'-20' of water on 5/16 ounce finesse jigs. Fish the baits slowly on channel swings, chunk rock secondaries or around boat docks. I've been noticing more dead shad each time I've been out now. With more cold weather on the way the shad kill should pick up more and make the jerkbait bite better as winter drags on.

Deep fishing is also going good right now. Beaver lake has been running water hard out of it's Dam flowing right on through Table Rock consistently creating a nice current. Fish are 1/2 way back in the creeks to the back ends 35'-45' deep. Some fish will be suspended out over deeper water in the tree tops, roaming the open with the shad or dead on bottom. Locate the bait and there's sure to be a few bass nearby. Best baits to drop on them have been a 4'' single tail grub in either smoke with black flake or milky white with black flake using a 3/8 ounce head to fall down quicker. These fish are also biting 4-5'' tubes in the same colors and ice minnows.

Taneycomo:

The Core has been running water regularly making the trout bite exceptional. In the restricted zone trout are biting a drift rig using an egg fly/scud and micro jigs below a float with about a 7' leader. Early in the mornings nicer sized Rainbows and Browns are biting 1/8 ounce in line sculpin jigs and jerk baits, gold Rapala's or LuckyCraft pointer 78's in ghost minnow. Below the trophy zone fish are coming on orange power eggs, minnows and night crawlers drifting from Fall Creek to Branson.
